Somehow, I missed this book in my previous Wodehouse reading binges. It is really funny. Especially, if you work in a cubicle in any kind of bureaucratic function. Psmith is a great role model. His tactics were worth emulating, in some cases.Some of the political observations and socialist schtick were really interesting. I went back and read the other Psmith books.
There are some sadly dated racial references which are probably the reason these books aren't more widely known.

Psmith is a gem of a character. Wodehouse delivers Psmith with the grace due the man of the hour and delivers him hilariously. Psmith in the City is a gem of a book. I laughed out-loud from beginning to end. A pure joy!
It's more of a pamphlet than a book. It's large and the text is CRAMMED onto the pages. There are no annotations, introductions, etc. It's just the story and that's all. I'll be giving this one to the library here. I have a better copy anyway.

Lighter in the humor department, when compared to his later works; but you just can't go wrong with Psmith!
PSmith is a hit. We love the Bertie Wooster stories but PSmith is the tops.
I love Wodehouse, but needed a copy I could take places, so got it for my . The stories never get old even if they are a little dated by now. I could re read this book and always get a smile from it. You can't beat the classics, there's a reason there still here.
Witty and fun, this was my introduction to Psmith. I had trouble following the cricket portions due to my almost nonexistent knowledge of the sport but that didn't lessen my enjoyment of the novel. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for more Wodehouse. I do prefer Jeeves/Wooster or Blandings characters though.
